Recently, LeAnne Burch, of Crestwood Drive in Vivian Manor, was recognized as the yard of the month.

Yard of the month nominations are submitted to the town and country garden club, then the winner is announced by the local chamber of commerce.

Last week, Jay Jones, at the Edward Jones investments office, located  at 975 Highway North, Welcomed area residents and community leaders to attend the ribbon-cutting and open house, at his new office.

Refreshments were served.

The Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting ceremony, Monday morning, for Los Arcos Mexican Grill.

Jorge Rosas and his staff have a beautiful restaurant, located next to Domino’s Pizza on Highway 425 South.

The food, the fixtures and the atmosphere are all impressive.

The Monticello/Drew County Chamber of Commerce recently conducted a Ribbon-Cutting to celebrate the official grand opening of the Drew Memorial Hospital gift shop.

With ALL NEW merchandise and an expanded, fully-renovated space, the gift shop is back and better than ever, in its original location – across from the Registration Desk inside Drew Memorial Health System, at 778 Scogin Drive, in Monticello.

Market in the Park continues Saturday, beside the Courthouse in Monticello from 8-11 am, and will continue on every Saturday through the spring and summer.

Items available include homegrown, homemade and handcrafted things, from vegetables to crafts to jams and jellies.
