How to operate a home-based business and how to boost sales are the topics of a pair of free seminars to be hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
The first seminar, “Operating a Home-Based Business,” will be held November 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Star City Civic Center. The second seminar, “Boost Your Sales,” will be held December 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the House Room of the John F. Gibson University Center on the UAM campus.

Cakeland, at 1110 Hwy 425 South. held their ceremonial ribbon-cutting with the Chamber of Commerce, Tuesday morning.

They carry a wide range of sweets and desserts, and also have a meeting room available.

DDOS attack over. Internet and TV restored

9:20 pm- CCC just experienced a DDOS attack which is affecting internet and IP delivery of Little Rock Broadcast TV stations.

We are working diligently to mitigate the attack.

CCC is still experiencing troubles from the Windstream outage.

We have had all our traffic going over a SATCO optical circuit to Little Rock.

CCC voice customers are unable to receive calls from AT&T wireless customers this morning.

CCC is investigating with Windstream to isolate the problem.

Wednesday, the first responders of Monticello enjoyed lunch courtesy of Chris Bryant State Farm.

Chris and his team served chicken quarters, potato salad, coleslaw, and dessert for lunch. Chris enjoyed being able to serve those who serve our community.

Monticello is a great place to live because of each one of our first responders.
