Wednesday afternoon, 1626 Entergy customers lost electric power across a wide section of Monticello and the surrounding area.

Sources familiar with the situation indicate that mechanical failure, near/outside the South Main Street substation was the cause for the outage.

Power has since been restored to all affected customers.

Chick-fil-A will reopen today, January 3. The hours of operation for today, tomorrow and Saturday will be 11:00-7:00.

Beginning Monday, January 7, they will return to their normal business hours of Monday-Friday 10:30-8:00 and Saturday 11:00-7:00.
