HamburgHeadlines.com, has confirmed that Wednesday’s telephone outage in Crossett occurred due to road construction near the intersection of Highway 425/82, where a fiber optic cable was accidentally cut.

Both landline and cell phone outages  occurred due to the cut.

The city of Crossett did an excellent job in notifying local businesses about the situation, informing them how to handle crisis situations, and also called out auxiliary officers and other city workers to help with the important public contact issues.

We are told that communications were fully restored around 8:30, Wednesday evening.

The Hamburg Fire Department cordially invites the citizens of Hamburg and surrounding communities to a First Responders celebration.

Hamburg Fire Department recently won the 2019 Firefighter Cup Challenge hosted by the Zac Dunlap Band. Volunteer departments throughout the state competed for the most votes to win a trophy and a free concert from the Zac Dunlap Band. (more…)

Due to excessive rain and road conditions, Hamburg School District will dismiss early today.

Hamburg Pre-K and Portland Elementary will dismiss at 12:30.

Noble/Allbritton Elementary will dismiss at 12:40.

Hamburg Middle School will dismiss at 12:50.

Hamburg High School will dismiss at 1:00.
