Judicial candidate election announcements are being posted early, this year, due to the recent change of the primary election date, next year.
Act 545 of the 2019 Regular Session of the Arkansas General Assembly, was signed into law by Governor Asa Hutchinson on March 21, 2019.
Act 545 moves the preferential primary election in 2020 to the first Tuesday after the first Monday in March. In 2020, the preferential primary will be held on March 3, 2020.
Crossett City Attorney James A. Hamilton has announced that he will seek election as Circuit Judge for the Tenth Judicial District, Division 1, Sub-district No. 10.2, in the upcoming election, on March 3, 2020. The Tenth Judicial District covers Ashley, Bradley, Chicot, Desha and Drew Counties in Southeast Arkansas.
