Doug Hill LUTCF of Drew County Farm Bureau was recently recognized for total performance during 2018 at the Farm Bureau Statewide Agents and Agency Managers meeting in Little Rock. Hill received The FB Bank-Banker’s Dozen.

Students from the Monticello School District, the Drew Central School District, and the Dermott School District toured Greece to discover the answer to this question, “What is it like in a country where classical mythology and ancient history still have a presence in everyday life?”

This week children who participated in our Summer Reading Program got to visit the planets! At each station the kids got to help with an experiment, make a scientific observation, play a game, or watch a demonstration that was themed on the unique features of the planets in our solar system.

For example, on Venus they got to make a volcano explode, on Mars they were able to help code a route for a miniature Lego Mars Rover, and on Pluto they got to feel how cold it is there by making ice cream. I have attached a few pictures of the event.
