The Friends of the Library, a dedicated group of volunteers, works tirelessly each year to support the needs of Monticello’s local library. Through various fundraising activities and community events, the organization provides crucial funding to the library’s programs, including the highly anticipated summer reading program. This annual program is just one of the many ways the Friends strive to keep our library an engaging and educational resource for Monticello residents of all ages.
In addition to funding the summer reading program, the Friends of the Library sponsors various activities throughout the year. In years past, the Friends have organized or co-sponsored popular events, such as a community concert in the park featuring country music’s Ryan Harmon, poetry contests, and special guest speakers.
