The industrial “spec” speculative building, which was built as a qualification for the state’s ACE program, seems to have a local industry that will likely use the structure as part of a long term lease, for warehouse space.
Due to the May fire in their old location, EZ Mart has moved next door to the former Circle N location.
Their first day serving the public was Wednesday.
Bessy’s Frozen Yogurt, located behind the new EZ-Mart on HWY 425 South, in the old Pizza for Less and Baseball Cards, Etc. building is planning on a September opening date.
Bessy’s will provide frozen yogurt, along with fruit and candies for you to include in the many sweet treats that they offer.
The new business is owned and operated by Tammy and Molly Flemister.
New features to the building include a new patio, and an improved driveway and parking area.

Between 5-7 pm, Sunday, there were 3 diffeent fires burning in rural area of Drew County, Sunday afternoon.
The first blase reportede was in the Valley & Greenill Fire Depts. area. They responded and put out the fire.
Next was a clear cut grass fire alonh HWY 35 West near the Cleveland County line. Rock Springs and Pansy firefighters were paged out to extinguish the fire, and the Arkanssa Forestry Commission sent a plow to keep the hot spots from spreading.
Collins-Cominto’s fire dept. also was busy, battling a barn firem on HWY 35 east.
Our appreciation goes out to the Drew County Firefighters.

Drew County has had several trees fall, in recent days, some bringing power lines down with them.
Saturday night, Rock Springs Road had a tree blocking traffic, around midnight.
Friday, the Bowser Road and Babin Drive intersection had a tree and brush fire caused by a tree falling on an electric line.
Earlier in the week, HWY 278 East, along with a few other county roads had reports of fallen trees.
Please use caution; just because a power line is down, doesn’t mean that it is not ”hot,” as was the case with this Barkada Road tree, also on Friday.
