Due to the prediction of inclement weather, we will be remote for ALL schools, Monday.
Our plan for our on-site kindergarten-2nd grade students to start on Mondays will now start Monday, January 25.
No buses will run, Monday. No students on campus.

The city of Monticello has restarted their
“leaf and limb pick-up”.
Please call City Hall at 367-4400, ext. 1, for the water department, to put your address on the list.
However, if you prefer to burn your leaves, please remember there is now a burning ordinance in Monticello. Call the fire department at 367-5433 to get your burning permit.

OEM/911 coordinator Jessie Griffin has announced that Drew County weather and tornado sirens are being maintained and tested, throughout the month of January.
If you hear a short blast on a weather siren, it is a test. Long blasts will it be actual storm situations. Testing will not be done during severe weather.
Late last week, Grand Manor found out that the form they submitted to the state didn’t get processed. They were supposed to have been one of the first places in line for vaccine, but that “fell through the cracks”. (more…)

The Board of Trustees of the University of Arkansas at its specially called meeting Dec. 15 unanimously passed a resolution in praise of more than 17,000 employees of the state’s largest university system and the many challenges institutions have overcome during the global Covid-19 pandemic. Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield has awarded an additional $250,000 to the Arkansas Rural Health Partnership (ARHP) to support participating Arkansas hospitals and clinics in improving how they exchange patient information. The health insurer provided an initial grant of $817,000 to ARHP in January 2020. (more…)

Crews Puryear was sworn in as Circuit Judge by retiring Judge Sam Pope, Friday in Arkansas City.
Laurie Bridewell was sworn in as Circuit Judge, Friday in Hamburg, by appointed Judge Sandra Bradshaw, who completed the term of Kenny Johnson, who died in office.
