According to Lt. Jason Akers of the 10th Drug Task Force, a Monticello man is facing felony drug charges after Drug Task Force Agents located roughly a quarter pound of ice methamphetamine in his possession.

How to operate a home-based business and how to boost sales are the topics of a pair of free seminars to be hosted by the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center (ASBTDC) at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.
The first seminar, “Operating a Home-Based Business,” will be held November 30 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Star City Civic Center. The second seminar, “Boost Your Sales,” will be held December 7 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in the House Room of the John F. Gibson University Center on the UAM campus.
