Registration is now OPEN for the 2026 Fall Season of the SEARK Miracle League!

The Miracle League of Southeast Arkansas provides individuals with disabilities the opportunity to experience the joy of baseball and the magic of being part of a team.

And there’s even better news! Thanks to the generosity of Paradigm Fitness of Monticello, there will be NO registration fees for athletes this season! That’s right — registration is completely FREE!

Registration Deadline: September 13, 2026
Register by the deadline to ensure there is enough time to order your athlete’s T-shirt with their name on the back.

You can still register after September 13 and up until the first game, but a personalized T-shirt cannot be guaranteed.

Monticello Police Department is helping another agency locate a white,slender, bald male with dementia. He is driving a silver Toyota Tacoma truck, license plate 397 076. Please call the police department at 870-367-3411 if you see this individual or vehicle. We will update as soon as we get more information.

Update: the soft lockdown at Drew Central and Monticello School District has been lifted, and they are resuming normal operations. Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

Both Monticello School District and Drew Central Schools are on lockdown as the Monticello Police Department is trying to locate a dementia patient whose phone has pinged in the woods between MES and Drew Central. There is no imminent danger to students and staff.

Situations like this can understandably create concern for parents and community members, but precautionary lockdowns allow law enforcement to move freely and conduct a thorough search without any interference or risk to the public.

Monticello Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 10:51pm Monday August 24th, 2026. Engine 2 and Tanker 1 dispatched to the 1500 block of Florence Road. No injuries were reported.

On Friday August 7th, 2026 at 10:02pm, Monticello Fire Department responded to a house fire of Burnett Lane. Engines 1 and 2 responded. The home suffered major damage. No injuries were reported.
