Community members, local leaders, and supporters gathered this week for a ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the grand opening of The Pediatric Playhouse, a new pediatric therapy clinic serving children and families in Monticello and the surrounding area.
The new clinic, located at 533 West Gaines Street, provides pediatric occupational, physical, and speech therapy services for children from birth through age 21. The Pediatric Playhouse is expanding its services into Monticello with a mission of delivering high-quality, family-centered care through a collaborative and play-based therapy approach.

During the ceremony, attendees toured the facility and learned more about the clinic’s goal of increasing access to pediatric therapy services in southeast Arkansas. The expansion is expected to help families receive specialized therapy services closer to home, reducing the need for long-distance travel for care.
Representatives of the Monticello-Drew County Chamber of Commerce joined clinic staff, family members, and community supporters for the official ribbon cutting.
The Pediatric Playhouse offers individualized therapy programs designed to help children develop essential communication, motor, and daily living skills through engaging, play-based activities. The clinic serves children with a variety of developmental needs and diagnoses while emphasizing a team-based approach to care.
The grand opening marks another addition to Monticello’s growing healthcare and therapy services, providing local families with expanded access to specialized pediatric care.
