March 9th, 2026 byPhillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) will partner with the University of Arkansas at Monticello (UAM) to expand access to affordable four-year degrees in eastern Arkansas.
On Wednesday, March 11, the two institutions will officially announce a new collaborative program that will allow students to complete select bachelor’s degrees through UAM while remaining on PCCUA campuses, creating a true “start here and finish here” program for students from the Delta and surrounding communities.

This initiative is designed to increase access, strengthen workforce development and provide a seamless transition for students who are ready to continue their education close to home. By combining resources and expertise, PCCUA and UAM aim to improve degree completion rates while offering some of the most affordable tuition rates in the state.
The announcement will take place at 1:30 p.m. on March 11 at the Hendrix Fine Arts Center on the PCCUA Helena campus. The event is open to the public and media, and leaders from both universities are scheduled to share details about the partnership. Interview, photo and video opportunities will be available.
