MPD Statement on Natural Causes Death near Conley & Jackson Streets

According to MPD Chief Jason Akers, MPD received a call Sunday of a man in medical distress near the intersection of Conley and Jackson Street.
Responding Officers, and EMT’s arrived on scene to provide care and found the man to be deceased.
MPD Detectives, along with County Coroner staff processed the scene near the body and jointly determined that foul play was in no way suspected due to previously existing health conditions of the deceased man. Physical evidence at the scene as well as witness statements also support this conclusion.
MPD does not typically release the names of the deceased in natural cause related deaths until such time as all potential family members and friends have been notified out of respect for the families and their loss.
