Filing for the primary elections began last Monday, and ended, yesterday.

Monday’s county candidates to file for Quorum Court included Steve Pigott, Orlando Jones, and Frank Appleberry.

City of Monticello candidates, due to city council action, now run as non-partisan candidates.

Filing for those offices will take place at a later time.

Sheriff, County Judge, Mayor, and other offices are for four year terms, and not up for election in 2020.
