Keith Wells Sr. of Monticello was recently selected by The Arkansas Activities Association to officiate The 5A Basketball Championship between Marion and Hall played on March 7th. Wells currently is a Monticello resident, Monticello School Board Member and Owner of Local Business. He has 18 years of experience in Officiating Basketball on The High School and College Level. He has had The opportunity to call 5 High School State Final Games. . To be selected to officiate a State Championship by The AAA is considered a honor and accomplishment among AAA officials. Sources have told MonticelloLive that Wells was the only official chosen from the South Eastern area to officiate Arkansas High School Basketball Finals of any Class this year.
