Local Company Seeking Accountant

Monticello, Arkansas firm is seeking a professional, creative, multi-tasking individual with an accounting background as well as analytical talents using Microsoft Office and Great Plains software.
Duties
- Perform the project accounting function
- Prepare bank reconciliations
- Assist in corporate auditing
- Assist in maintain adequate control procedures
- Lend support in the accounts payable’s department as needed
- Assist in the monthly closing activities
- Preparation of monthly financial statements
- Perform account reconciliation activities on periodic and as-needed basis
- Participate in the overall annual budgetary process
- Maintain the corporate policy and procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or Business Degree Preferred
- Strong understanding of accounting theory
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Detailed oriented
- Positive “can do” attitude and highly analytical
- Ability to thrive in a fast pace environment
- Proactive and independent
- Must be proficient in Excel and Word
- Some travel required
