Update – Dayspring’s Rumored Closing, Including Local Clinic

Preferred Family Healthcare, a nonprofit based in Springfield, Mo., known locally as Dayspring Behavioral, has been suspended from receiving Medicaid payments from the Arkansas Department of Human Services and the Office of Medicaid Inspector General, after the arrest of a former PFH administrator.
Local repercussions effect the estimated 20 Monticello employees, and all of their area clients and patients.
We had posted earlier that Dayspring’s local office appeared to have been unoccupied for the past few days, and their answering machine couldnt take any more messages.
Apparently, they relocated to another location at 447 West Gaines, but door signs at their former West Gaines location do not reflect the change. We have been told they were in the office, but did not answer the phone, as it was automatically transferred to a filled voice/mailbox.
Dayspring’s out of town office issued this statement. about their future, “Until we receive direction from DHS, there are still many unknowns at this time.”
Other mental health professionals predicted their closing was unavoidable, based on the legal ramifications of the criminal charges.
Although no official statement has been made, their closed office and lack of comment imply that their closing is imminent.
Other mental health providers are preparing to expand their service to accept former Dayspring clients, as they transfer into other treatment programs.
