Water Outage on Gaines Street, From Hyatt to 425

There will be a water outage, this morning, to allow city workers to repair a water main.

The affected area will be on W. Gaines St., from Hyatt St. to Highway 425.

At this time, there is no estimated time for the repair.

City Dumpster Trucks Out of Service, “Please Be Patient.”

The City is currently experiencing issues with both of the dumpster garbage trucks.

We are working on getting both of the trucks fixed but we are unsure if the problem will be resolved, later today.

We appreciate your patience during this process while we manually use trucks, trailers and man power to empty dumpsters.

Living Nativity At Immanuel Baptist Church, Tonight & Saturday

IBCLivingNativity2019 copy Immanuel Baptist Church, 939 Barkada Rd, in Monticello will host their Living Nativity December 13th and 14th, Come and Go, 6pm-8pm each night.

The Christmas story comes alive as IBC transforms the inside of the church to reflect the hustle and bustle of Bethlehem as it would have appeared in biblical times. Church members, handmade costumes and crafts set the scene for the Nativity. Visitors come face-to-face with the Roman guards and tax collector at the city gates before being swept into an authentic-looking and multidimensional experience of the first Christmas. The Living Nativity includes replicas of the inn, multiple storefronts, the three wise men and the manger. Church members portray Bethlehem townspeople as they would have appeared on the first Christmas night.
