Zuehlke receives M.Div
Published by News Release July 6th, 2007 in Church.Lee Zuehlke of Monticello was among 75 men and women who recently graduated from Memphis Theological Seminary. Mr. Zuehlke received a Master of Divinity degree. He has recently been appointed to serve as Pastor of the Grady-Trinity Charge of the United Methodist Church in Grady near Pine Bluff. He most recently served the Monticello Circuit.
The commencement service was held on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Lindenwood Christian Church in Memphis. Rev. Don Alexander, Former Moderator of the Board of Trustees of Memphis Theological Seminary, delivered the commencement address which was entitled “The Gift of Turbulence.” Graduates recognized included those who completed their degree requirements during the 2006-2007 academic year. Fourteen candidates received the Master of Arts in Religion degree, fifty-five received the Master of Divinity degree, and six received the Doctor of Ministry, which is the highest degree attainable in the practice of ministry.
Memphis Theological Seminary is an ecumenical mission of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and is approved by the University Senate of the United Methodist Church. It serves a diverse group of those seeking theological education, with a student body currently comprised of 39 percent women, 46 percent African American, and 27 different denominations.
