Wreck in Dead Man’s Curve Sunday A.M. Sends 1 To Hospital
Published by Joe Burgess December 9th, 2007 in WRECKS.This new Chevy Trailblazer was involved in a single vehicle accident in Dead Man’s Curve Sunday around 8;30 a.m.
The driver was alone in the vehicle, and was transported to Drew Memorial Hospital.
The wreck was worked by the Sheriff’s Dept. and Arkansas State Police. Since the vehicle had overturned, Monticello Fire Dept. also responded

I’m sorry, maybe it’s just me. But I have no idea where “Dead Man’s Curve” is. I know of atleast 10 curves that are called that, so when I read numerous stories about wrecks on monticellolive that happened in “Dead Man’s Curve” I have no idea where they occured. Could you please atleast include a road name from now on in these stories?
Thanks for your comment. Dead Man’s Curve is generally known as the sharpest of a series of curves on HWY 278 east of Monticello, about 3 miles out. There will be an “I-69″ sign west of it, Bordeaux Road is east of it, and there is an old church on the north side of 278.
