Work Truck Collides with Motorcycle Monday – Rider Airlifted to LR
June 15th, 2010 by Joe Burgess
A 41 year old Monticello woman was riding her Honda Shadow 600 toward Monticello around noon Monday. As she entered the curve on HWY 83 North, near Rose Hill Cut-Off Road, a welding work truck was traveling north on HWY 83, and attempted to turn north onto Garnett Road, crossing in front of the Honda, according to Drew County Sheriff Mark Gober.
The bike’s operator was transported to Drew Memorial before being airlifted to UAMS in Little Rock, multiple broken bones.
Triple A removed the Honda from the scene; Rod”s Wrecker towed the work truck.
