Wildflowers Growing at Jackson and Main Street
Published by Joe Burgess September 14th, 2008 in Photos.Actually, i’ve been told that they are Lycoris, a member of the Amaryllis family. They are also called Spider Lily or Surprise Lily. Because the stalk of flowers come up and bloom in just a few days without having any leaves. The leaves will appear after the bloom dies down and will make pretty greenery all winter long. They will die back about the time Jonquils bloom in the Spring. They can be bought from almost any flower bulb company.
