Warren Man Convicted on Multiple Drug and Firearm Charges in Bradley County

April 22nd, 2026 by

The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office transported 75-year-old Grady Burch to the Arkansas Department of Correction (ADC) this morning to begin serving a 10-year prison sentence. Burch’s transport follows his April 10, 2026, conviction in Bradley County on multiple felony charges, including simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of controlled substances including hydrocodone, amphetamine, and carisoprodol, and felon in possession of a firearm.

The conviction stems from an October 21, 2025, operation where agents with the Tenth Judicial District Drug Task Force and the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at Burch’s residence on Bradley Road 92. During the search, officers recovered a variety of controlled substances, including hydrocodone, amphetamine, and carisoprodol, along with gabapentin, THC products, and marijuana.

Prosecuting attorney Frank Spain said, “We are very pleased with the jury’s decision in this case. It is vital to the safety of our community that individuals are held accountable for criminal offenses regardless of their age. When convicted felons choose to possess firearms while committing new crimes, they must be punished appropriately to ensure justice is served.”

Law enforcement also discovered multiple firearms stored in unsecured locations across the property, including inside a shed, a freezer, and vehicles. At the time of the search, Burch was found with a label-less pill bottle and $447 in cash on his person; an additional $3,337 was seized from the residence.

During the sentencing phase, the jury was informed of Burch’s prior criminal history, which includes two counts of sexual assault. Following these revelations, the jury recommended a total sentence of ten (10) years in the Arkansas Department of Correction. The Honorable Quincy Ross presided over the trial and followed the jury’s recommendation, imposing the ten-year sentence. Under Arkansas law, Burch is required to serve at least one-half of his sentence before becoming eligible for release.
