Update–Wal Mart Evacuated After Bomb Threat
Published by Joe Burgess August 8th, 2008 in Police /Legal.Around 2 a.m. Thursday morning a phone call was received at a local business, with the caller claiming to be on the Wal-Mart parking lot, and claiming to have a bomb. The business contacted the police dept., who responded to Wal-Mart, and notified the manager of the threat.
The building was evacuated, with people being moved to an empty area outside.
The building was searched, with nothing suspicious being found, and the scene released back to Wal-Mart, who then re-opened the store.
Other recent Wal-Mart bomb threats include Comstock Township, Michigan, as reported by the Kalamazoo Gazette and also in Greenville, South Carolina, according to WYFF4.
The Leader-Call reports several bomb threats in their area, including the Wal-Mart store in Waynesboro, Mississippi on Monday
There is nothing at this time to indicate that these calls are related in any way.

My friends and I left Wal-Mart last night at about 1:30 a.m., so we missed the evacuation by about half an hour. Crazy stuff.
As if I didn’t hate going to Wal Mart already!
This ia really ashame. I wish they could have known who did this threat. People do not need this type of behavior. I am glad I was not there.
