Awesome reporting Jim!I did not know that at all-Waffle in was my first paying job!!!!!!Good Luck to the new owners/managers.
My main memory of this disgusting place consists of the sign over the cash register warning of the consequences of using vulgar langage–what should be a big clue to anyone of the type of clientele patronizing the place). I give the old Waff-L-Inn a score of 1 out of ten, and that is really only for having been the only 24 hour diner in Monticello. Maybe under new management it will be different, but I can think of many other potential uses for that tin shack.
I think the Waff-L-Inn definately has potential. Good luck new owners! My wife and I used to go to the Waff-L-Inn late at night before we were married to hang out together and have a bite to eat (Of course we, as many others who frequented the place, were far from being the vulgar-language weilding clientele some elude to). Thank you, Bob and Karen Hall for your entreprenuerial spirit and desire of not letting yet another useful commercial building go to waste.
place looks great, better than it was in
