UAM Wellness Fair

The UAM Wellness Fair brings campus and community resources together in an enjoyable interactive atmosphere to expose and educate our students, faculty, and staff to the various avenues of wellness. Wellness is more than being physically healthy. Wellness is finding a healthy balance in the quality of your life in the social, physical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual and occupational dimensions. This year’s theme is Go Green, Live Green with an emphasis not only on health and wellness but also the environment.
 
The Fair will feature informational displays as well as provide free health screenings for cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure, vision, bone density, ear exam, body fat percentage and more. State Troopers will conduct their annual Fatal Vision driving course.  Back by popular demand is an Oxygen Bar sponsored by UAM Counseling and Testing and CHAMPS,  through grants received from the Arkansas Collegiate Drug Education Committee and Arkansas Beverage Control Enforcement.
 
Students, faculty and staff visiting the Fair may register for many prizes to be given away by the exhibitors and the UAM Wellness Committee.
 
Participants in this year’s fair include a number of university health vendors as well as many community and campus resources. Limited space is still available for additional health screenings and/or information and activity booths.
