Anyone planning to attend college next fall can complete one of the most important steps in getting ready for college by attending College Goal Sunday at the University of Arkansas at Monticello on Sunday, March 2 from 2-4 p.m. in the Memorial Classroom Building.
University officials will be on hand to help future students and their families fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the college financial aid application.
UAM is one of 35 locations across the state scheduled to host College Goal Sunday. The UAM College of Technology-McGehee will also be a host site.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone planning to go to college to tackle one of the most important steps in getting ready for college,” said Susan Brewer, UAM’s director of financial aid. “College Goal Sunday is a way for UAM and other participating institutions to make sure applying for financial aid does not become an obstacle that would keep anyone from going to college.”
