UAM to host junior high band camp
Published by UAM News June 8th, 2007 in UAM News.The University of Arkansas at Monticello will host a junior high band camp June 11-15, according to Gary Meggs, director of bands and camp director.
The camp will be divided into four bands. Mark Garey, band director of Freedom Middle School and assistant director of Centennial High School in Franklin, Tenn., will direct the first honor band. Other guest directors include Scott Maddox of Vilonia, Thad Webb of Overton, Tex., and Tonya Eckstein of Mount Vernon, Texas.
Each of the four bands will perform on Friday, June 15 beginning at 1 p.m. in the UAM Fine Arts Center. The concerts are free and open to the public.
