UAM To Host International Week February 18-22
Published by UAM News February 13th, 2008 in UAM News.The University of Arkansas at Monticello will celebrate the diversity of its student body, faculty and staff by hosting International Week February 18-22, according to Mary Whiting, director of admissions.
The university will offer international cuisine at noon each day in the Aramark cafeteria of the John F. Gibson University Center. The meals are open to the public at a cost of $5.94, including tax. On Monday, the cafeteria will feature French cuisine. Tuesday will bring food from the Philippines, Wednesday from Brazil, Thursday from Australia, and Friday from Germany.
International students will be asked to dress in their native clothing on campus on February 18.
An international display will be open to the campus and public in the Adams Room on the first floor of Harris Hall beginning February 18 from 1-4 p.m., February 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and February 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. International students will present displays highlighting their home countries. The UAM International Club will offer door prizes for visitors.
