Top rodeo cowboys and cowgirls from 15 colleges and universities across the nation will compete in nine events at the second annual Boll Weevil Stampede March 27-29 at the Drew County Fairgrounds.

            The event is being hosted by the University of Arkansas at Monticello and is sanctioned by the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. Admission is $8 for adults, $5 for UAM students with I.D. or children 6-12, and free for children 5 and under.
            Competition will begin each night at 7:30 p.m. Events include bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, team roping, breakaway roping, goat tying, and barrel racing.
