UAM purchases Trotter House
Published by Kristy March 13th, 2007 in News, Schools.
The University of Arkansas at Monticello recently purchased and has taken possession of a local bed and breakfast, The Trotter House. Chancellor Jack Lassiter said that the home will continue it’s operation as a bed and breakfast, among other things. The College of Technology in Crossett as well as the branch in McGehee will use the facility as training ground for interns in a new program of Hospitality Management Services. There will be a one year and two year program for students interested in the degree.
In addition to this new function, the bed and breakfast will serve as a wonderful home away from home for visitors to the university.
The Trotter House will be undergoing some renovation in the next four to six weeks but will remain open and available with slightly limited capacity for services.
