Dr. Dorothy Everts, associate professor in the School of Social and Behavioral Science at the UAM, has been named president of the Arkansas Sociological and Anthropological Association.

The ASAA is a professional organization whose goal is to “promote the highest level of education in sociology and anthropology in the state.

Dr. Everts joined the UAM faculty in 1999.
