The UNT Jazz Festival is just part of this storied universities history. As the premier jazz department in the US, one only has to look at the list of faculty who are international icons to get an idea of what this invitation represents. Mr. Meggs and his faculty have done an outstanding job with the UAM music department and are to be commended for this invitation to perform on a national stage at this level of noteriety. This invitation is a great tribute to the hard work of the UAM Faculty, the UAM students, and I am sure represented the UAM, the community of Monticello, and Arkansas in a truly honorable fashion.
