Two Saturday Morning Accidents East of Monticello
Published by Joe Burgess March 1st, 2008 in WRECKS.The accident shown here came happened just before 8:30. This black Nissan Altima rounded out a curve on HWY 278 East, across from the grain bins, 2 miles out, just past Dead Man’s Curve.
The driver, a McGehee lady, was the only occupant in the vehicle, and appeared uninjured.
Earlier this morning, there was another single vehicle wreck, on HWY 138 (Winchester Road), approximately 5 miles east of Monticello.
No was injured in that accident either. The wreck happened when the driver, lost control of the vehicle, with fog being a major contributing factor.
