According to Drew County Sheriff’s Dept. Investigator RIck Rausch, 2 Monticello women were arrested last week in reference the theft, forgery, and cashing of a check.

Samantha Donley was charged with in the 2nd degree forgery, for passing a stolen check that was made out to her, and signed by her.

Evidence included a surveillance video of her cashing the check.

Samantha Jo Barnett was also arrested.  Barnett was seen in the theft victim’s trailer, He asked her what she was doing, and she ran out of the trailer.  Missing were his wallet, cell phone, and checkbook.

Barnett has been charged with residential burglary and theft of property.

Both women were arrested, and have since been bonded out on $5.000 bonds.
