Kenneth Trotter, a native of Drew County, has announced his candidacy for re-election as Justice of the Peace for District #6 of the Drew County Quorum Court.

Trotter is a 1978 graduate of Monticello High School, and is currently employed as transportation director/mechanic for the Drew Central School District.

Trotter, who is married to the former Katie Sheets of Wilmar, has lived in Wilmar for 21 years.  They have two children, Brandi and Kevin.  The Trotters are members of the Kennedy Blvd. Church of Christ in Monticello.  He is also a member of the Arkansas School Bus Mechanic Association.

“I will continue to stand firm on my actions for the citizens of Drew County,” stated Trotter, as he announced his re-election.  “I will continue to have the best interest of the citizens at hand.”

Trotter added that his main concern is to assure the county has enough law enforcement protection, the continuation of the upgrading of county roads, and the support needed for county employees.  “Even though I campaigned tirelessly to support the passing of the one cent sales tax, I would do it again,” said Trotter.  He stated that he had the intellect to make unbiased decisions on these and other matters facing the county.

Trotter will strive to maintain a good working relationship with all county  officials, and would take a holistic approach of togetherness.

“I feel very confident in the service that I have rendered as JP for District #6 on the Quorum Court, and look forward to another term, if elected,” said Trotter.
