Just after noon, this tree, on South Boyd Street, near the intersection of East Jackson, fell and took down utility lines.

Monticello city employees were on hand to help with the situation, after Entergy arrived to take care of any “live wires” at the scene.

Let’s hope this isn’t a sign of what to expect as another hurricane comes onto land, from the Gulf of Mexico, this weekend.
