There will be a free, K-12 teacher workshop on economics and financial literacy, July 1st. 

The workshop is based around the Arkansas Economic Framework, and  will teach information needed in the classroom.

Details of the event are:
What: Basics of Economics and Financial Literacy: Arkansas Frameworks Connections
        A One-Day Workshop for K-12th-grade Teachers

When: July 1, 2008, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Where: University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff auditorium, Pine Bluff, Arkansas

Who: Hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Little Rock Branch, with Economics Arkansas and the Arkansas Securities Department

Details: This workshop connects economic lessons based on the Arkansas Frameworks with teaching students about financial literacy. Teachers will learn the basics of economic and financial literacy and improve their economic knowledge with the help of speakers, activities and resources that are either free or inexpensive.

Sessions are offered for K-12th-grade teachers, and grade-specific lessons and activities will be presented for appropriate audiences. Lunch will be provided.
