Cedric Leonard, president of the Monticello School Board, presents a plaque to Steven Koone, a junior at MHS, for his outstanding achievement and winning the bronze medal in the Precision Machining Technology at the state competition.  
 

Students were recognized at the Monticello School Board meeting Tuesday, May 20, for their achievements at the Arkansas state Skills USA competition in Hot Springs.  Eighteen Monticello OEC students competed in seven different Skills USA competition areas.  A total of 1,854 students from across Arkansas competed in 76 different contest areas.
