Southern Baptists charter motorcycle group

Local Southern Baptist churches began a new organization this past Sunday, October 8, at the annual meeting of the Bartholomew Baptist Association at Calvary Baptist Church in Monticello. This group of affiliated Southern Baptist Churches in Drew and Bradley counties meets regularly and is made up of representatives of all Southern Baptist churches in the area.

The regional director of the Arkansas Baptist Bikers Association (ABBA) was a guest speaker and presented the charter for the new group called Kingdom Riders to chapter president Shelby Huffman. After its first three months of existence, Kingdom Riders already has a membership of 17.

ABBA exists “to share the Gospel with the motorcycling community through acts of kindness and genuine concern for the motorcyclist and their loved ones.”

ABBA? I suppose they will not be confused with the infamous Swedish pop band, but still there are some acronyms that should be allowed to rest in peace.

    Congrats on the recognition, though.
