You might should call back to the Cablevision office and ask for the General Manager. If no one in your home ordered the movie, there is no reason you should have to pay for it!

FYI for everyone reading this... Cablevision is launching "impulse" pay-per-view very soon. This means that the above issue will no longer happen, all ppv ordering is in your control, plus you'll be able to lock ppv purchases from your cable box.

Anyone with a cable box in their home may find this interesting.
I had a cable box installed in my home a few months ago. I just received a bill for a pay per view movie that was orderer on Nov. 23. The problem with this is for one, we never order any ppv movies, and two, we left Nov. 22 to spend Thanksgiving in Louisiana and didn't return home until Sunday Nov. 25.
The woman I talked to at the cable office informed me that anyone can call from any phone and have ppv turned on. All they need to know is your phone number and that you have a cable box. This means that any kid with nothing else to do on the weekend, can get the phone book out and start ordering ppv for people. She told me the only way to keep it from happening is to have them disable ppv at the office, which is what I did. I would suggest anyone who does not want a "mistake" showing up on their bill do the same. Oh, by the way, she told me there was nothing she could do about the bill, I would just have to pay it.

High definition programming would be great as well as "Cable on Demand" that Time/Warner currently offers. It's awesome!
