Small Fire at UAM Monday Morning
Published by UAM News October 6th, 2008 in UAM News.University of Arkansas at Monticello officials report a small, contained fire broke out this morning around 4 a.m. in Bankston Hall.
Officials say the fire injured no one and caused only minor damages to one room on the first floor, mostly smoke damage.
Investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
The alarm system was activated and the fire department responded promptly to extinguish the fire. Residents were allowed back into their rooms shortly thereafter.
