Single Vehicle Accident near Sports Complex, Tuesday Afternoon

Shortly after Tuesday afternoon’s heavy thunderstorm, the driver of this SUV ended up in the deep ditch next to HWY 278 west, near the Monticello Sports Complex.
The driver reported that the vehicle hydroplaned, before losing control and leaving the highway.
The driver was alone in the vehicle, and was transported to Drew Memorial Hospital by Southeast Emergency Medical Services.
The SUV was towed by C & L wrecker service.
