There will be a Silent Auction and Chili Cook-Off this Saturday from 11-1:30 pm at Oak Grove Assembly of God church, located at the corner of Oakland and Winchester Rd. in Monticello. The auction bidding will begin at noon and end at 1pm. There are many new items that have been donated from area businesses such as home decor items, gift baskets, oil changes as well as a brand new Benelli shotgun with a retail value of $1000. Other used items such as furniture and home accessories have been donated and ladies of the church will have homemade baked pies and cakes at the auction as well.

The chili cook-off begins at 11am with judging that will award 1st and 2nd place trophies. After judging, bowls of chili can be purchased until 1:30pm. All proceeds go toward the Building Fund at the church. This auction is open to the public. For any additional information, call 870-723-0956.
