Shady Grove Collecting Supplies for LA Flood Victims, Drop off Items Saturday

August 20th, 2016 by

imageimageUPDATE – Shady Grove will be open Saturday,  for you to drop off buckets and other supplies.

If you’re not able to provide a complete rescue bucket, please bring some of the individual supplies listed below. That will still be helpful to the many residents who lost or have damaged homes.

Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church Disaster Relief Team has a tremendous opportunity to serve flood victims in Jesus’ Name as we serve New Harmony Baptist Church and a few families clean out their church and mud-filled homes. The Disaster Relief Team will depart on Sunday, August 21, at approximately 2:00 pm, to help tear out soaked drywall, remove flooring, clear debris and serve meals.

You can help make a difference by purchasing cases of water, items listed on the bucket list or by donating funds to help purchase food for the meal station.

Donations may be dropped off at Shady Grove located at 111 Hwy 172 during office hours Monday – Friday (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM) or on Sunday before 2:00 PM. Monetary donations may also be dropped off at Searcy & Associates located at 201 S. Main.

Have questions? Contact the church office at (870) 367-3298 8or Pastor David Jacks at (870) 723-5535.

o No spray cleaners.
• Dish soap
o 16?28 oz. bottle any brand.
• 1 can air freshener
o Aerosol or pump.

o No terry cleaning towels;
o Remove from packaging.
• 7 sponges
o No cellulose sponges due to mold issues;

o No stainless steel, Brillo pads, or SOS pads (nothing with soap built in).
• 50 clothespins
• Clothesline
o One 100-ft. or two 50-ft. lines;
