According to Ashley County Sheriff Tommy Sturgeon, investigators are searching Ashley, Bradley and Union Counties, for leads and evidence in the case of a missing Ashley County woman,  38-year-old Shannon Jordan Ridener.

She was last seen January 13 at her father’s home in Crossett.  Her purse was found on January 16.

Sturgeon confirms that a man has been arrested on the charge of felon in possession of a fire arm, who is considered a person of interest, but points out that there is no “solid proof” that he did anything pertaining to this case.

Sturgeon added that law enforcement is constantly searching, making every effort to locate any evidence in surrounding counties, but at this point have no leads, and have not found a body.
