Scott Saffold of Monticello has been appointed to the board of directors of the Foundation Fund, according to Linda Yeiser, vice chancellor for advancement.

Saffold is senior vice president and chief loan officer of Union Bank and Trust Company of Monticello and a 1991 UAM graduate. Saffold’s term on the 10-member board will run from 2007 through 2011.

“We are pleased to welcome Scott Saffold to the UAM Foundation board,” said Yeiser. “He is someone who has always demonstrated a commitment to the continued growth and success of the university.”

The UAM Foundation Fund board oversees the private fund-raising efforts of the university and is part of the University of Arkansas Foundation, Inc.
