An Ellis Street mobile home, near South Gabbert Street,  was destroyed by fire, around 9 p.m., Saturday night.

Monticello Fire and Police Departments responded to the blaze, which did major damage to the north end of the residence.

Upon arriving on the scene, there was a concern that someone remained inside of the home, but that proved to be incorrect.
