This 1984 Chevy S-10 Blazer held true to it’s name, as it caught on fire around 5 p.m. at the BP station on HWY 428 North.

Someone at the scene had said that the vehicle had backfired through the carburetor, before the fire started.  The vehicle belonged to Kathy Cannon.  No one appeared to be injured. The Monticello Fire Dept. quickly responded and had the fire extinguished.
